The Answer Plan

We are pleased to introduce the newest member of the Harbor family – the ANTEX Answer Plan. We believe that the Answer Plan, underwritten by American National Life Insurance Company of Texas (ANTEX) is truly one of the best values in the market.

The Answer Plan IS NOT an accident only plan. In other words, it is not just a trip, slip or fall policy. The Answer Plan has been filed with the various Departments of Insurance as an injury plan. An injury plan is much broader in definition and covers medically necessary treatment, as defined in the brochure and policy specimen for injuries.

How does an injury differ from an accident?

Traditional accident programs have language that an accident is a result of an unplanned, unforeseen or unavoidable event. Usually accident plans are very limited in the scope of coverage and max out around $10,000 in benefits. An injury plan uses broader definitions and takes into account accidents as well as covers treatment for other types of injuries like

· a sprained back from stooping over to pick up a box

· A hernia from lifting a heavy object

These are just a couple of examples that most traditional accident plans would not cover, or would exclude these types of injuries.

The Answer Plan has NO MEDICAL UNDERWRITING (occupation and avocation questions only). There is no paramed or blood requirement and the agent does not need to be present to enroll the client. Additionally, the Answer Plan is set up for List Bills wherever the plan is approved and ANTEX will allow employer contribution up to 100%. Agent commissions on the answer plan are 25% first year with 6% renewals. Commissions are paid weekly and a 10 month advance is made available to qualified agents.

We do not know of any other injury plans on the market that cover up to $250,000 inpatient and $250,000 outpatient. The Answer Plan is currently available in 25 states – AK, AR, AZ, CA, DE, HI, IA, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV, WY.
